Deconstructed furniture
Furniture and interior designer Neeta Kumar’s design studio Inhabit has launched 'Deconstructed Collection' that is chic and sustainable, with vibrant colours, diverse materials and unusual fusions. Stripped of all external embellishments, the line strikes a balance between creativity and functionality and brings forth a palpable warmth. The 'go nude' spring style designs promise transparency and naturalness. While the styles are traditional, the treatment is contemporary: a distressed reclaimed teak wood frame is accented with nail heads and complemented by the texture of burlap with fabric; a wooden sofa features beautifully stitched indigo upholstery; and a dining chair has a leather backrest and a cushioned seat.
