MQDC, one of Thailand’s leading property developers
MQDC, one of Thailand’s leading property developers, unveiled its prestigious Bangkok properties at an event in New Delhi while announcing its plans for developing the Indian market for luxury projects that align with the evolving demands and aspirations of India’s high-net-worth investors for a ‘third home’, beyond their family and vacation properties.

Wilawan Brenig, Vice President - International Market Development, MQDC, stated, “Bangkok’s property market has a special appeal for high-net worth investors, and we will offer the same exacting standards to Indian buyers looking to invest in a ‘third home’ that reflects their status.”

MQDC has a presence in India since 2019 with its Whizdom Club, a co-working space in Delhi’s upscale Greater Kailash II, and it will be opening its second Whizdom Club in Gurugram to cater to India’s startup community. “India’s youthful demographics and a dynamic business culture offers a huge potential for MQDC to help potential buyers meet their lifestyle and investment goals, and ensure secure ownership in the best locations with all the desired amenities, attractive yield and rental returns, and access to the attractions of a global metropolis,” added Brenig.

As regards collaborating with Indian architects, Chulamas Jitpatima, (Amy) Country Director, MQDC India Real Estate, expressed MQDC’s eagerness to immerse in the Indian culture and learn from local designs. She highlighted MQDC’s commitment to quality and sustainability, with a focus on “sustainnovation” through eco-friendly approaches based on the company’s Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC). This research-based approach has led to concepts such as universal design, smart homes and automation, eco-friendly design and materials, and the assurance of the company’s market-leading 30-year warranty.

RISC also works with world-renowned institutions such as MIT, the International WELL Building Institute, and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. “RISC has helped develop a rigorous set of standards that ensure well-being in every facet of MQDC projects, from unit layout to lighting, air conditioning, and air quality,” informs Jitpatima.

MQDC’s portfolio extends from condominiums to mixed-use and theme-based developments. Acknowledging India’s price-sensitive market, Jitpatima emphasized the importance of demonstrating value for money through design, hospitality, and branded residences, which would differentiate the MQDC brand in a competitive market.

MQDC’s flagship project The Forestias in Thailand is an upcoming green neighborhood achieved through partnering with global experts like Foster + Partners for architecture, engineering, urban and landscape design. The project includes residences for new-gen living, and condominiums and villas for multi-generation families – all of which express the forest district’s distinctive concept. Encompassing 64 hectares, and an investment of $3.8 billion, The Forestias ranks among Thailand’s largest-ever developments, integrating homes with lifestyle, healthcare, and transport amenities.
